A man on a Qantas flight from Perth to Melbourne was tackled by other passengers and restrained with cable ties after threatening staff and the pilot.
A witness on board flight QF648 told the Triple M radio station he helped restrain the male passenger after he made the threats.

A Qantas spokesperson told smh.com.au that the man was restrained because he was being disruptive and threatening.
"The passenger was restrained by staff, an off-duty cabin crew officer and some passengers," he said.
"On landing the customer was handed to police."
The witness, identified as Rob, told Triple M, the man had been brought up towards the front of the plane near him because he was disturbing passengers in the back section of the aircraft.
"He attacked the guy that was standing beside him and then the hostess said, 'please help please help',” Rob said.
"About four or five of us jumped up and had to hold him down and put these cable ties on his hands behind his back."
"I don’t know what was wrong with him, he was threatening staff, he was threatening the pilot ... it was pretty scary stuff," he said.
"It was pretty upsetting, all of the passengers were pretty upset up the front, there were women crying."
Rob said the incident happened about halfway from Perth to Melbourne and the man sat up the back of the plane quietly after he was restrained.
