2011 Nujiang Kuoshi Cultural Tourism Festival

 

 Fugong County of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture has one of the largest concentrations regions of Lisu people. In the very early morning, local residents crossed the bridge and came to the river beach wearing traditional costumes. Lisu people warmly welcomed guests on December 22nd during the 2011 Nujiang Kuoshi Cultural Tourism Festival.

Local people erected huge bamboo poles along the river beach. Those who can climb to the top of the pole are considered the bravest. (Source: China.org.cn/Li Huiru)
